AceShowbiz - Britney Spears, widely referred to as the Princess of Pop, took to Instagram to share a frightening experience involving her home fireplace. The incident, which occurred six months prior, left Spears with burned eyelashes and eyebrows. Speaking in a British accent, Spears recounted the terrifying event to her followers on Monday, September 30.
"I was in my room, I turned the fire on, and all of the sudden, it blew up in my face," the singer, 42, recalled while talking in a British accent.
The Grammy winner shared that the fireplace had a history of malfunctioning, to the extent that she usually had her security light it for her. However, on this particular night, she decided to handle it herself, which led to an immediate explosion in her face.
"But this time, I just threw the whole thing in there, and it literally blew into my face," Spears said, noting that the person she was with at the time "just would not wake up."
The aftermath was horrifying for Spears, who described feeling as though her "face was on fire." She mentioned that the intense pain lasted for six to seven hours, raising concerns that she had second or third-degree burns.
"It hurt to touch my phone. It hurt to put ice on my face. It hurt [to have] anything touch it. This happened for, like, six or seven hours... The pain never went away. It was so, so, so bad," she explained.
Eventually, the pop star found some relief by taking three Tylenol, which she compared to "f**king Vicodin," allowing her to finally sleep. Despite the severity of the incident, Spears did not confirm whether she sought medical attention.
This isn't the first time that the pop star has encountered fire-related mishaps. Last year, Spears accidentally burned down her home gym with candles, an incident she also shared on social media. She reflected on that past event saying, "By the Grace of God the alarm went off after that and yippy hoorah nobody got hurt. Unfortunately, now I have only two pieces of equipment left lol and a one-sided mirror gym!!!!"
Britney Spears' candid recounting of these perilous situations highlights the unpredictable and potentially dangerous realities of everyday home objects when not handled cautiously. Despite the frightening nature of her experiences, Spears remains transparent with her fans, continuing to provide glimpses into her life through social media.
