The 'Moment 4 Life' hitmaker believes that it is possible to 'love and respect' both Lil Wayne and Kendrick Lamar, who has been selected to headline the big event.

AceShowbiz - Nicki Minaj has had a few more words to say about the 2025 Super Bowl Halftime Show. The "Moment 4 Life" hitmaker has continued defending Lil Wayne after the NFL's decision to select Kendrick Lamar over Wayne for the big event.

On Monday, September 9, the 41-year-old female hip-hop artist urged people to "love" and "respect" Wayne, who is also famous as Weezy. Making use of X, formerly known as Twitter, she penned, "You can love & respect Kendrick and still love & respect Wayne."

Nicki went on to say, "Even Kendrick loves & respects Wayne. Every real rapper loves & respects Wayne." She concluded her tweet by promoting her tour, writing, "#GagCityDC TONIGHT IS THE NIGHT!!!!! The whole DMV AREA I'll see yall soon. We will have a beautiful, magical, successful show. #DTLR," adding a smooch emoji.

Later on, many X users agreed with Nicki's remarks. One in particular replied, "Thank you for saying this! The unprovoked disrespect I've been seeing our own ppl dish at Wayne, literally trying to discredit his entire career and discography like quit playing with that man." Another chimed in, "Say it LOUD FOR THE PEOPLE who are slower than sloths."

Meanwhile, other users came to Nicki's defense against people who thought she was hating on Kendrick. One of them stated, "Clock it cuz mfs thought shi was a diss to Kendrick, it's not about him it's about the principle and the powers that be."

Similarly, another penned, "Anyone who interepretted what you're saying today as disrespect towards kendrick just lacks critical thinking skills. nothing you've said is about one rapper vs another, it's clearly about artists vs a machine."

Nicki has been defending Wayne since the NFL decided to choose Kendrick to perform at the 2025 Super Bowl Halftime Show in New Orleans. Recently, she expressed her discontent with Jay-Z, who co-produces the show, and the league for overlooking Wayne and Young Money. "Go & enjoy your fkng money b4 it's too late ... One n***a took a knee The other n***a took the bag," she wrote.
