AceShowbiz - NLE Choppa put an end to confusion among fans over his recent tweet. After sending fans into a frenzy for announcing that he's "coming out" in an X post on Thursday, September 5, the rapper provided the context.
On Friday, Choppa cleared things up as the tweet was meant to tease his new project. "With New Song (PINNED^) A New Project This Month, and Black Duck Boots," he replied to his original post. The "S**t Me Out 2" rapper added, "Yall ain'’t let me finish."
Fans, however, were not here for Choppa's trolling antics on social media. "You had enough characters to finish that caption you knew what you were doing," one fan wrote to the MC. Another said, "Don't piss me off."
"you know what exactly what you doing and trying to get at," one other commented. Someone, meanwhile, pointed out that he could easily edit his tweet if he wanted to, saying, "the edit tweet option was there for you."
Choppa sparked debate when he seemed to hint at his sexuality as he announced to his followers that he's coming out. "I'm Coming Out ….," he wrote alongside two mirror selfies of himself wearing a white tank top and light-washed denim pants.
The confusing post immediately garnered mixed responses from Internet users. "Nows not the time, we've lost Rich Homie Quan," one user commented, referring to the Atlanta rapper who died at 34 following an alleged overdose on the same day. "Pls not today…We mourning Quan," another echoed, while someone else added, "I'm still processing Quan death. Not right now. I'm not in the mood fr."
Some others, meanwhile, didn't think Choppa was trying to say that he's coming out as LGBTQ+ member and accused the rapper of queerbaiting. "He probably bout to sample the 'I'm coming out' song or he running with the narrative for his album rollout …. Or his wrist really might be bent who knows idk… it's 2024 who cares," one opined.
"It's giving publicity stunt, nobody know wtf he talking about lol," a user wrote. Another agreed, "Bruh trolling he thinking marketing." One other comment read, "He's taking it to another level at this point. Maybe he really is.. maybe he's not.. but attention seeking to 100."
