The Memphis rapper appears to hint at his sexuality as he announces that he's coming out, though some Internet users blast him for bad timing and accuse him of queerbaiting.

AceShowbiz - NLE Choppa raised people's eyebrows with his new post on X. On Thursday, September 5, the rapper appeared to hint at his sexuality as he announced to his followers that he's coming out.

In the said post, Choppa wrote, "I'm Coming Out ….." He also included two mirror selfies of himself wearing a white tank top and light-washed denim pants.

As the "S**t Me Out 2" artist didn't provide context, fans were baffled by the post. Internet users had mixed responses to Choppa's confusing announcement as one blasted the rapper for the bad timing.

"Nows not the time, we've lost Rich Homie Quan," one user commented, referring to the Atlanta rapper who died at 34 following an alleged overdose on the same day. "Pls not today…We mourning Quan," another echoed, while someone else added, "I'm still processing Quan death. Not right now. I'm not in the mood fr."

Some others, meanwhile, didn't think Choppa was trying to say that he's coming out as LGBTQ+ member and accused the rapper of queerbaiting. "He probably bout to sample the 'I'm coming out' song or he running with the narrative for his album rollout …. Or his wrist really might be bent who knows idk… it's 2024 who cares," one opined.

"It's giving publicity stunt, nobody know wtf he talking about lol," a user wrote. Another agreed, "Bruh trolling he thinking marketing." One other comment read, "He's taking it to another level at this point. Maybe he really is.. maybe he's not.. but attention seeking to 100."

While it's unclear what Choppa meant by his recent tweet, the emcee has been an ally for LGBTQ+ community. Earlier this month, he announced a performance at Atlanta Black Pride, "I will be doing my justice by showing love to the LGBTQ community."

He later acknowledged the love he has received from LGBTQIA+ fans for his song "S**t Me Out 2", saying, "The same way that they're pouring love into me is the same way that I'm giving back love." He added, "Regardless of what backlash might come his way, he will continue to fight against discrimination and bigotry that affects the LBGTQ+ community today."
