AceShowbiz - Sean "P. Diddy" Combs has responded to Rodney "Lil Rod" Jones' lawsuit. In new legal docs filed on Monday, August 26, the Bad Boy Records founder accuses the producer of a cash grab.
Puff is asking a judge to dismiss Rod's allegations against him. In the motion, he includes a recent video of Rod with Uncle Murda during 50 Cent's Humor and Harmony Festival earlier this month.
In the clip, Uncle Murda first brought up the lawsuit as he warned, "Stop playing, n***a..." Lil Rod chimed in, "I'm from Chicago. We don't play about our business."
"My boy want that check, n***a.... I'm just saying," Uncle Murda added. Lil Rod played along, shouting, "I want my money by Monday." Uncle Murda then reiterated, "He want that money by Monday, Diddy."
In the caption, Uncle Murda wrote, "I ran into the n***a that accused Diddy of all that weird s**t #TheProducer Homie want his money by Monday. Everybody was outside Humor & Harmony Vibes Whoaaaaaa S**t Crazy #NoDiddy."
Rod filed a lawsuit against Diddy in February, alleging that the "I Need a Girl" rapper drugged and sexually assaulted him, and also forced him to have sex with sex workers. The emcee's lawyer branded the allegations "pure fiction."
In March, the music producer filed another lawsuit against Diddy and his son Justin Combs. He claimed that they engaged in a "massive" cover-up of their involvement in the shooting of a 30-year-old man at a "writers and producers camp" that was held at Diddy' Chalice Recording Studio in Los Angeles in September 2022.
Rod, who used to work with Diddy, claims in his lawsuit that Diddy had damning footage of multiple celebrities and power players who attended his "freak-off" parties. While 50 Cent did not appear in the video with Lil Rod, he recently weighed in on the alleged tapes, suspecting that those who are keeping "quiet" amid Diddy's legal woes are featured on those tapes.
