Courtney Stodden Tosses Engagement Ring Down the Toilet Nearly One Year After Chris Sheng Split

The 'Celebrity Big Brother' alum, who came out as non-binary in April 2021, tosses their engagement ring down the toilet while doing a 'little last-minute spring cleaning before summer.'

AceShowbiz - Courtney Stodden made sure they've left behind every trace of their former fiance, Chris Sheng. Nearly one year after their split, the "Celebrity Big Brother" alum tossed their engagement ring down the toilet.

In a video shared by TMZ, the 29-year-old, who came out as non-binary in April 2021, could be seen grabbing the five-carat sparkler from a jewelry box in their bathroom. "I'm just doing a little last-minute spring cleaning before summer," they said.

"I guess diamonds aren't always a girl's best friend after all," the media personality, who called it quits with the filmmaker in early 2023, continued. After letting out a deep sigh and flushing it down the toilet, they declared, "Toodaloo... Onto the next chapter."

Courtney announced their engagement via Instagram on May 30, 2021. Sharing a boomerang clip of themselves in which they gave a closer look at the giant sparkler, they gushed, "I said yes ...OH and the ring made me gag it's so beautiful #engaged #stopasianhate #diamondsareagirlsbestfriend."

Chris' now-fiance, meanwhile took to his own Instagram page to let out photos of the rock and their dimly lit proposal dinner. "So this happened! Not how I planned but the moment was right. On Friday, May 28 I proposed to the love of my life and they said Yes. I feel so blessed and fortunate," he raved in the caption.

"We have both grown so much since we first met, and the fact that we have both been able to grow into better, stronger, more secure individuals while still being in a relationship together makes me have faith that this partnership will last a lifetime. For the first time we're both experiencing unconditional love. The truest kind of love," he added. "The kind where we may not always like each other but will ALWAYS love and respect each other. I promise to always be your rock, support, and shoulder to lean on - no matter what. I got you. Ily."

Courtney and Chris began dating in 2017, amid their split from now-ex-husband, actor Doug Hutchison. The "Couples Therapy" alum was just 16 when they tied the knot with then-50-year-old Doug.
