AceShowbiz - Courtney Stodden and Jared Safier’s love story is straight out of a Hollywood script. On June 11, Safier proposed to Stodden at the luxurious Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Beverly Hills, the same location where the couple had their first kiss one year ago. Stodden, 29, gleefully accepted, flaunting a 5-carat, radiant-cut VVS diamond ring that Safier had meticulously picked.
Stodden shared her engagement bliss with PEOPLE, "I've been engaged for just a few days and I'm still taking it all in." Reflecting on her attraction to Safier, she added, "I am about to begin a movie that he is directing me in and I can tell he wants to bring out the best in me. That's what I love. He believes in me."
Their romance, which began last summer, is indeed "moving very fast and is very serious," according to inside sources. The duo is already planning their wedding and looking forward to a honeymoon in Italy, where Safier will be directing a new film in which Stodden will star.
This isn't the first time Stodden, who came out as non-binary in 2021 and uses they/them pronouns, has been in the spotlight for their love life. Courtney married actor Doug Hutchison in 2011 at the tender age of 16, a union that ended in divorce in 2020. More recently, they were engaged to Chris Sheng, a relationship that dissolved in July 2023. In a symbolic act of closure, Stodden filmed themself flushing the $500K diamond engagement ring from Sheng down the toilet, inspired by the 1997's "Titanic".
"Like the little old lady who dropped it into the ocean in the end, I needed to rid myself of any remnants from the past that no longer had any hold on me," Stodden told TMZ. In light of her new engagement, they expressed excitement for what lies ahead, "Onto the next chapter."
Stodden also shared candid thoughts on personal growth and resilience with Fox News, stating, "Experiences that are traumatizing can either break us or we can utilize them to shape us into a stronger individual."
Safier, who has produced over 80 films and is recognized for his award-winning web series "The Bay", seems equally smitten. He called Stodden "the love of my life" on Instagram, highlighting their deepening bond.
Looking forward, Courtney hopes to inspire others through her journey of ups and downs. "If this has happened to you or ever does, it's not your fault. God bless every one and count your blessings. We are all love," Courtney said in a heartfelt post regarding a recent miscarriage they experienced.
As Courtney Stodden embarks on this new chapter with Jared Safier, their fans eagerly await the unfolding of this vibrant love story, rooting for a joyful, fulfilling future.
