The 34-year-old rapper is arrested in San Bernardino County on fraud and theft charges, several hours after his mother was taken into custody following a raid at his Florida mansion.

AceShowbiz - Sean Kingston is joining his mother behind bars. The rapper, whose real name is Kisean Paul Anderson, has been arrested in San Bernardino County several hours after his mother Janice Turner was taken into custody following a raid at his Florida mansion.

"This evening, police in Fort Irwin, CA, arrested Kisean Anderson, aka Sean Kingston without incident on a Broward Sheriff's Office arrest warrant for numerous fraud and theft charges," Public Information Officer Carey Codd told Fox News Digital on late Thursday, May 23. "According to investigators, he will be booked into jail in San Bernardino, CA."

Earlier in the day, deputies from the Broward County Sheriff's Office and Davie Police SWAT members served search warrants at Kingston's Southwest Ranches mansion, Public Information Officer Carey Codd confirmed. He is accused of failing to pay for a $150,000 entertainment system.

In a lawsuit filed in February by Ver Entertainment LLC., Kingston is accused of using his celebrity status to acquire goods without payment. "He said that he works with Justin Bieber and that he, obviously, puts on a big show here, this is a rental house, he doesn't own it," Dennis Card, an attorney for the company, stated. "And he lures people using his celebrity into having them release things without having him pay for it and then he simply never pays."

The raid led to the arrest of his mother Janice Turner on numerous fraud and theft charges. Officials confirmed her custody, citing previous offenses involving filing false loan applications and bank fraud. Turner had pled guilty in January 2006 to charges involving $132,000 in stolen funds and was sentenced to prison followed by supervised release.

"Following an investigation that began in the city of Dania Beach, this morning, May 23, Broward Sheriff's Office Dania Beach District detectives along with members of BSO's Strategic Investigations Unit and Davie Police SWAT, served arrest and search warrants at a residence in Southwest Ranches," Codd said in a statement.

Following the raid and his mom's arrest, Kingston, who was not present during the raid, took to social media to tell fans not to worry about them. "People love negative energy! I am good and so is my mother!" he wrote on his Instagram Story. "My lawyers are handling everything as we speak."
