The 'One Thing at a Time' musician is taken into police custody for reckless endangerment and disorderly conduct after throwing chair from the rooftop, four years after a drunken bar arrest.

AceShowbiz - Country music star Morgan Wallen was arrested overnight in Nashville on felony charges after allegedly throwing a chair from a downtown rooftop, according to the Metro Nashville Police Department.

At approximately 10:53 P.M. local time on Sunday, April 7, two officers standing in front of Chief's Bar on Lower Broadway witnessed a chair fall from above and hit the street three feet from them.

Witnesses told police that they saw Wallen, 30, pick up the chair, throw it over his head, and laugh afterward. The bar's staff members confirmed that Wallen had thrown the chair.

Video footage reviewed by officers showed Wallen "lunging and throwing an object over the roof," which is a six-story building.

Wallen was arrested on three counts of reckless endangerment because two officers were in the area and the incident posed a danger to the public. He was also charged with disorderly conduct because his actions created a hazardous condition "by an act that served no legitimate purpose."

Fortunately no one was injured by his antics as the arrest affidavit states that "no injuries were reported."

Wallen was released from jail around 3:30 A.M. local time after posting a $15,250 bond.

Wallen's attorney, Worrick Robinson, confirmed knowledge of the arrest and said his client is "cooperating fully with authorities."

The arrest comes amid the start of the 2024 leg of Wallen's "One Night at a Time" tour. The tour follows the success of his "One Thing at a Time" album, which has broken records as the country album with the most weeks at No. 1 on the charts.

In 2021, Wallen faced controversy after a video surfaced of him using a racial slur. He publicly apologized for the incident, which drew widespread criticism and led to his music being pulled from radio stations.

In 2020, he was arrested on public intoxication and disorderly conduct charges after being kicked out of Kid Rock's bar due to his drunken antics. "We didn't mean any harm, and we want to say sorry to any bar staff or anyone that was affected," he said after the arrest.
