AceShowbiz - Country singer Kelsea Ballerini, 30, has slammed online trolls who criticized her outfit at the 2023 CMT Music Awards.
In a TikTok video posted on April 7, Ballerini addressed the haters mocking her for "forgetting her pants" during her performance. "Shut up. No I didn't," she mocked the commenters. "Shut up. It looks hot. Period. Bye."
Ballerini wore a glittering gold bodysuit with sheer black tights for her performance, which she paired with a high ponytail and sultry eye makeup.
Despite the criticism, many fans praised her bold look. "SLAY, our pantsless QUEEN," one gushed while another made a reference to the "Shake It Off" singer, "Taylor Swift does it no one says anything. You slayyyyed."
Ballerini also revealed that she had a total of nine outfit changes throughout the evening, including a lacy red gown on the red carpet, a pink cowboy Barbie outfit, and a green feathered minidress.
Despite being nominated for three awards, Ballerini did not take any trophies home. However, she has no regrets about her performance or her wardrobe choices.
