Their romance began when Mark sent Kristin a DM on Instagram from the Montana Boyz account that read, "I love you." Kristin, 37, revealed on her podcast that she was initially confused because she thought it had come from Mark's personal account.
Mark admitted that he had mistakenly sent the message from the group's account. "It was a bold one," he said. "It was a shot in the dark." However, his forwardness paid off as Kristin responded, leading to the start of their relationship.
The couple sparked headlines because of their 13-year age gap. Cavallari, 37, previously shared that she initially had reservations about the age difference, but later declared, "I don't give a f*ck. And I'm all in with this guy."
In a cheeky TikTok video, Cavallari addressed the backlash, sarcastically asking, "Are you going to arrest me?" She captioned the post, "When they're all up in arms that I'm dating a 24-year-old. Andddd?"
Estes, a former college football player, met Cavallari's three children before their official date. Cavallari was previously married to Jay Cutler, a retired NFL quarterback, whom she shares her children with.
