Former NHL player Nate Thompson has weighed in on his past relationship with Kristin Cavallari after the 'Laguna Beach' alum dished on their secret hookup.

AceShowbiz - Kristin Cavallari's ex Nate Thompson has spoken out after the former star of "Laguna Beach" lifted the veil on their hookup on her podcast.
On the April 1 episode of his "Energy Line" podcast, he candidly stated, "I knew it was only a matter of time before things became public - that's her world, that's what she does."
He recognized that Kristin's life as a public figure, especially one who thrives in the media landscape, made such revelations a part of the territory. "Her podcast, obviously, as you know, is pretty big, and she talks about her relationships, so I knew it was probably gonna come out eventually," he added.
The 40-year-old former athlete, who shares two children from previous relationships - son Teague, 9, with ex-wife Cristin Stuart, and daughter Wylder, 2, with ex Sonni Pacheco - reflects on his time with Kristin without regret.
Despite the end of their relationship, Thompson has nothing but kind words for Cavallari. He refrains from labeling her as his girlfriend but acknowledges the positive experience they shared together. "She's a cool person," he said. "We had a good time. Life is gonna life and it just didn't work out."
Cavallari also spoke highly of Thompson, calling him a "great guy" who has done extensive work on himself. Although she found a "flame" with Thompson which led to their split, she praised the "honest, pure, amazing" nature of their relationship.
