AceShowbiz - In the bustling world of social media, even the most innocuous posts can spiral into full-blown media frenzies. Just ask Kristin Cavallari, the former star of "Laguna Beach" and "The Hills."
Cavallari was recently forced to debunk rumors of expecting a fourth child. On her latest episode of "Let's Be Honest" podcast, she shed light on how a playful TikTok video led to sensational headlines about her family life.
"You guys, this is from a really silly dumb TikTok that I did to someone else's audio," Cavallari explained. She was shocked at how a joke video was misconstrued into a headline about her having another baby.
"People forget TikTok is a big ole f***ing joke. Nothing I post on TikTok is accurate or factual or should be taken for anything other than being a joke," she continued.
The 38-year-old reality TV alum didn't hold back her frustration toward critics who accuse her of using motherhood topics to stay in the spotlight. "Like everyone thinks I'm just like doing all this s*** to stay relevant. I can't f***ing win in the press," she stated.
She even noted that it's baffling how someone could write a headline based on a TikTok audio that wasn't even hers. "How can you write a headline from that when it's not my audio. It's not my audio! F*** you guys. That should be illegal," she said.
Cavallari cheekily captioned the controversial TikTok clip with, "I can't wait for my 4th baby 🤣 #LetsBeHonest debunking headlines again since yall loved it so much the first time."
Together with ex-husband Jay Cutler, Cavallari co-parents their three kids: Camden, Jaxon, and Saylor. The former couple ended their nearly seven-year marriage in April 2020 but remain committed to raising their children together.
Life as a single mom is challenging, but Cavallari finds it rewarding. She revealed to Modeliste Magazine in 2016, "There's just so much more love in your life. I finally feel like I have a real identity. I feel like I have a purpose here in life now. I'm a mom to these three amazing little babies, and my whole world just kind of opened up."
Reflecting on her journey post-divorce, Cavallari told PEOPLE in 2020 that her life has "completely changed" over the past year. "A year ago, I felt like I was almost drowning... I feel like this is the first time in a really long time I've been able to come up air. And it feels really good," she said.
