While taking the stage at the O2 Arena in London, the 'Material Girl' hitmaker faces technical issues with the sound and tells her crew members to 'press the reset button' as she says sorry to her fans.

AceShowbiz - Madonna has apologized to her devotees following a problem at her recent concert. During the first show of her "Celebration" tour which was postponed due to health scare, the "Material Girl" hitmaker was forced to pause her performance due to technical issues with the sound.

The malfunction happened when the 65-year-old Queen of Pop was taking the stage at the O2 Arena in London on Saturday, October 14. After telling concertgoers that her crew members needed to "press the reset button," she said, "This is exactly what you don't want to happen on your opening night, so this wasn't planned, I'm sorry."

The issue with the sound surfaced when Madonna was delivering one of her hits titled "Burning Up", the fourth song she performed at the show. However, she proved that she could handle malfunctions like a pro by keeping her fans entertained.

Madonna took the time to voice her appreciation to the concertgoers for supporting her. "Am I imagining this? Oh my God, it is so good to be back in London," she told the audience. "I'm pretty damned surprised that I made it this far and I mean that on so many levels… How did I make it this far? Because of you. I'm going to take a bit of credit too."

After her crew members were able to fix the technical issues, the "Like a Virgin" singer continued the show and performed more songs, including "Open Your Heart" and "Holiday". She also delivered an acoustic version of Gloria Gaynor's song titled "I Will Survive".

On that day, Madonna took the stage for the first time after being forced to postpone dates of the "Celebration" tour to recover. In June, she was hospitalized for a number of days due to a "serious bacterial infection." She opened up about the matter at one point during the show, "I didn't think I would make it, and neither did my doctors. That's why I woke up with all of my children sitting around me."

"I forgot five days of my life, or my death, I don't really know where I was. But the angels were protecting me," she recounted. "And my children were there. And my children always save me, every time. If you want to know how I pulled through and how I survived, I thought, I have got to be there for my children. I have to survive for them."

In addition to London, Madonna will perform her biggest hits from more than 40 years of her career at 77 other concerts in different cities across 15 countries. She will conclude the "Celebration" tour at Palacio de los Deportes in Mexico City on April 24, 2024.
