After videos went viral showing her lashing out and throwing her phone at her boyfriend, her camp clarifies the reason behind her heated public argument with the rapper at the event.

AceShowbiz - Ice Spice had no part in JT and Lil Uzi Vert's drama at the 2023 BET Awards. After online speculation linked the rising star to the couple's public altercation at the awards-giving ceremony, JT's team has clarified the reason why they got into an argument that night.

According to TMZ, sources inside the City Girls star's camp tell them that the couple's row had nothing to do with Ice. What triggered JT's anger was reportedly her losing her seat after the audience shuffled around. The sources assure that the raptress, born Jatavia Shakara Johnson, loves the Bronx femcee and there's no beef whatsoever between them.

A Twitter user also shared her account of the story along with a video of the couple's argument. At one point, Ice was seen explaining something to JT. The user confirmed the musical chair confusion and claimed that Lil Uzi was "begging" JT to come back when she first stormed down the aisle.

JT did return to her chair, but continued to argue. After 20 minutes of argument, she started "ignoring his pleading." When the Twitter user returned after a bathroom break, the couple already left.

Initial clips showed JT lashing out at Lil Uzi, who was still sitting in his chair. "F**king groupie," she said, and then hurled her phone at her boyfriend while yelling, "B***h!" She reportedly picked up the mobile device after the first attack and struck the rapper once again. "The f**k wrong with you, b***h? B***h a** n***a," she continued hurling expletives at her boyfriend before storming off. Lil Uzi was seen following her.

According to some social media users, JT was mad at Lil Uzi after he was talking to Ice. He also gave a shout-out to the "Munch (Feelin' U)" raptress during his performance before the fight. The couple then left the event early before it finished.

Seemingly unbothered by the speculation, Ice has taken to Instagram to share a picture of her posing with Lil Uzi at the BET Awards.
