AceShowbiz - Anwar Hadid sparked chatter over his troubling posts after his ex Dua Lipa debuted her new boyfriend, Romain Gavras. The younger brother of Bella Hadid and Gigi Hadid, however, denied that his Instragram Stories had anything to do with the "Levitating" hitmaker.
"Crazy how the internet will just make whole articles about s**t they don't know anything about!!" the son of Yolanda Hadid wrote on Instagram Stories on Monday, May 22. He went on adding, "Yall are bored as f**k!!!! SORRY."
Prior to this, Anwar made headlines for making threatening posts that many thought were directed at Dua's new man Romain. "Trying to not to find and kill him :)," he wrote in one Story. In another slide, he wrote, "I cant breath," alongside a second selfie taken in a bathroom mirror.
The 23-year-old added, "Have fun," in another Story. The model, who dated the pop star between 2019 and 2021, also posted a blurry photo of himself walking accompanied by the words and wrote, "I hate the way you say my name."
Fans quickly slammed Anwar for the alleged shades. "Leave Dua alone," one fan urged, while another called his posts "childish." Another user added, "Sorry but getting second hand embarassment."
Anwar's eyebrow-raising posts arrived shortly after Dua and Romain confirmed romance rumors between the two as they made their red carpet debut as a couple at Cannes Film Festival. Attending the premiere of "The King of Algiers (Omar la Fraise)", the 27-year-old English singer and her beau walked hand-in-hand during the event on Friday, May 19. They also posed for the cameras with the 41-year-old putting his arm around the musician's body.
For the occasion, Dua donned an asymmetrical cutout black gown that she paired with Tiffany Edge earrings and a matching bracelet. Romain, meanwhile, dressed in a black suit.
Dua and Romain, who used to date Rita Ora, were first linked romantically in February. At the time, they were spotted leaving Netflix's annual BAFTA Awards afterparty at the Chiltern Firehouse in London together. The lovebirds were then caught making out at Saint Laurent FW23 Show.
