The 1975 frontman, who stayed at the model's home during a trip Stateside in February, allegedly ghosted his ex-girlfriend in late March, just weeks before he was seen with Taylor together during her 'Eras' tour.

AceShowbiz - Matty Healy's ex-girlfriend Meredith Mickelson is left "blindsided" by his alleged new relationship with Taylor Swift. The British musician reportedly ghosted his model ex just weeks before he fueled the dating rumors and she didn't see it coming.
According to The Mirror, The 1975 frontman was still dating Meredith in February when he spent several days at a Los Angeles recording studio with Taylor. He even stayed at Meredith's house during the trip Stateside, returning there each night after the music sessions.
At the time, Meredith had "no idea" Matty and Taylor were growing closer. Additionally, the rocker wanted to "hole up" with Meredith at her home and seemed reluctant to go out in public with her. Instead, he encouraged pals to come to them. She, however, still didn't see this as a red flag and their relationship continued until late March.
"She did not see this coming at all. All the time Matty was in the studio with Taylor, she thought nothing of it. He'd spend the day in the studio and then come home to her," a source allegedly close to Meredith tells the outlet. "Things were going well until around March 29 then, out of the blue, he stopped replying to messages and calls."
"He just ghosted her and that was it. Then, four weeks later, he went public with Taylor," the source claims. "She was totally blindsided and, of course, it has stung her a bit. She doesn't want to play the victim and has no intention of saying anything publicly."
Meredith's close friends were reportedly angrier than her about how Matty treated the model. The source dishes, "But those of us in her inner circle who she has confided in are quite angry about how he treated her, and feel that he is not a good guy."
"His reluctance to be seen out and about with her in February now appears in a very different light," the source adds, while the 23-year-old model reportedly wishes, "I hope he treats her better than he treated me."
A source previously told The Sun, "Matty was seeing Meredith while he was in L.A. in February - but things fizzled out when he went to New York at the end of the month." The so-called insider spilled, "They're still on good terms but haven't been romantically involved since then."
Matty and Taylor's dating rumors first surfaced in early May, just weeks after it was reported that she had called it quits with her boyfriend of six years, Joe Alwyn. The 34-year-old rock star was later seen attending Taylor's concerts in Nashville and they were spotted on a date at Casa Cipriani on May 11, during which they were caught "cuddling and kissing." They were also photographed holding hands during the outing with Jack Antonoff and his fiancee Margaret Qualley.
