The 'Don't Worry Darling' star adorns her newly-shaved head with an elaborate headpiece, the 'Twilight' actress shows off choppy short haircut, and the Oscar winner is almost unrecognizable with new blonde 'do.

AceShowbiz - Bedazzled gowns and over-the-top outfits were not the only way celebrities made fashion statement at the 2023 Met Gala. While still keeping with this year's theme, which is "Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty", Florence Pugh, Kristen Stewart and Jessica Chastain debuted their dramatic hair makeovers at the Monday night, May 1 event.

At the fashion's biggest night, Florence made a jaw-dropping entrance as she showed her newly-shaved head, which she accessorized with an elaborate Valentino headpiece. The "Don't Worry Darling" star also showed some skin in a white gown with a plunging neckline and ab-baring cutout featuring a big black bow. She completed her look with piles of Tiffany & Co. jewelry.

Ahead of the Met Gala, Florence teased her "bold" look for the event. "It's big, but we like big, don't we?" she asked Valentino creative director Pierpaolo Piccioli in a New York Times interview, adding that at the Met, "the idea is to be as bold as possible."

"The whole point is that you are expressing yourself with what you are wearing," the British actress added. "Every time I step out in whatever dress, that's a version of me that I'm really proud of. So it doesn't matter if people don't necessarily like it. I don't think anything that I do has to be 100 percent loved. Things being up for debate is good. It means people are interested."

Also fresh from the salon, Kristen debuted an extremely short, spiky haircut to match her masculine look. For the event, the actress donned a white Chanel bolero paired with black pants and accessorized with loafers as well as a belt and tie from the brand's collection. She also had her eyebrows filled in for a bolder look.

As for Jessica, the actress was almost unrecognizable as she swapped out her signature red hair for long platinum blonde locks at the fashion's biggest night. The Oscar winner styled her new hair in loose curls that flowed to her waist.

For her outfit, the "George & Tammy" star opted to wear a custom black strapless Gucci gown covered in tulle, including a long black tulle train with a layered bottom. She also wore matching black tulle gloves that rose to slightly above her elbows, a long silver and diamond chain necklace and chunky black sunglasses that she took on and off for the snaps.

On the red carpet, the 46-year-old said her new blonde hair is "not forever" and simply "for Karl," referring to late designer Karl Lagerfeld, who is honored with the theme of this year's Met Gala.
