The 'As It Was' hitmaker teases the possible reunion of the boyband while playing the 'Spill Your Guts or Fill Your Guts' game with host James Corden and Will Ferrell.

AceShowbiz - Fans might be thrilled to hear Harry Styles' answer about the possibility of the One Direction reunion. When asked about the matter on "The Late Late Show with James Corden", the "As It Was" hitmaker said, "Never say never."

When appearing on the final edition of the show on Thursday, April 27, the British heartthrob played the "Spill Your Guts or Fill Your Guts" game with James Corden and Will Ferrell. He then opened an envelope of the first question that read, "Yes or no, will there be a One Direction reunion? Will it ever happen?"

In response, Harry replied, "I fear that it's not a yes or no question. I think I would never say never to that." He then elaborated, "If there was a time when we wanted to do it, I don't see why we wouldn't."

Prior to this, it was rumored that One Direction would make their return on the final edition of "The Late Late Show with James Corden". The show, however, has shut down the speculation.

"Nobody loves the boys more than us ... but this story just isn't true," it declared. "What is true is we've got an absolutely brilliant 2 hour finale planned to celebrate 8 years of #LateLateShow at 10pm on April 27th."

One Direction, which also included Niall Horan, Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson and previously Zayn Malik, have been on hiatus since 2016. In September 2021, however, Liam revealed that he and Louis want to reunite the boyband "sooner rather than later."

"I spoke to Louis about it the other day and we were saying it has to be sooner rather than later," he said at Tom Parker's "In My Head charity" concert at London's Royal Albert Hall. "They've all got their bandmates here and I'm here on my own!"
