AceShowbiz - YFN Lucci seemingly cannot break his bad habit in jail. The rapper/singer, who has been incarcerated since 2021, has allegedly been caught doing drugs while he's serving his time behind bars.

A video recently surfaced online showing the Atlanta native filming himself pouring purple liquid from one bottle into another that's labeled ginger ale. He's then seen mixing the bottle up and grabbing a stack of styrofoam cups before the camera cuts off.

Upon seeing the clip, social media users were perplexed at how Lucci got his hands on lean in jail. "How did he get lean?" one person asked. Others pointed out that it's may be difficult to prove that the substance was lean, with one arguing, "Can't prove it's an illegal substance just from a video."

Lucci, whose real name is Rayshawn Lamar Bennett, is currently detained at the Fulton County Jail in Atlanta. His arrest stemmed from a 2021 shooting of James Adams, who passed away at 28 years old. An arrest warrant was issued for him in January of that year and he turned himself in in May. He was subsequently charged with felony murder, aggravated assault, participation in criminal street gang activity and possession of a firearm.

In June 2021, his request for release on bond was denied by a judge. He was supposed to have his trial in court on January of this year, but the date conflicted with that of his rival Young Thug, who is currently facing RICO charges.

Lucci's trial was eventually delayed, but paperwork surfaced of the rapper allegedly being served with a subpoena while in jail, calling on his to testify in Thug's RICO case. He, however, refused to take the stand, contradicting his earlier claim that he wasn't summoned to testify.

"Any party can announce for example that Abraham Lincoln is on their witness list, but those words alone are meaningless," Lucci's attorney Drew Findling told TMZ in December 2022. "So, to be 100% clear, Rayshawn Bennett (Lucci) will not be a witness in the YSL case."
