A police report from Jansen Panettiere's death investigation also reveals that one of his friends found him unresponsive after he failed to show up for a business meeting.

AceShowbiz - New details of Jansen Panettiere's shocking passing have come to light. According to a new report, friends became concerned after the brother of Hayden Panettiere failed to show up for a business meeting.

A police report from Jansen's death investigation obtained by TMZ details the moments leading up to the discovery of the body. Jansen's friends informed investigators he was supposed to be at the meeting on Sunday, February 19, but he was a no-show.

The friends thought something was wrong and one of them went to his apartment. The friend found the former child actor sitting upright in a chair, unresponsive, called 911 and started CPR.

Jansen and Jayden's father Skip has also spoken cops, telling them that he still talked to his son on Saturday night and he sounded "okay."

Jansen's rep confirmed he passed away in New York City over the weekend. Law enforcement sources said that they received a call at around 5.30 P.M. on Sunday. A cause of death is not immediately known, but police suspect no foul play.

Jansen's family has not publicly addressed the shocking news, but a source close to Hayden recently told Daily Mail that she "is just inconsolable." The so-called insider added, "He was her best friend and her only brother. He was such a nice guy but he lived on the edge."

The source also said that Jansen had been battling "terrible anxiety and depression." The former child actor, who was also a graffiti artist, had been "having a rough time lately with his career" and felt as though he was "being dragged in so many directions," the source noted.

A source similarly told ET that "Hayden is absolutely heartbroken" as "she loved her brother unconditionally and the two shared a special bond." The source additionally spoke of how the actress supported her brother amid the 28-year-old graffiti artist's mental health issues, "Jansen suffered from mental health issues and art was his therapy and escape. In the past, Jansen was open to family and friends about his struggles. Hayden was always there for him and constantly tried to help Jansen when she could."
