AceShowbiz - Howard Stern wasn't impressed by Rihanna's performance at the 2023 Super Bowl Halftime Show. When hosting the Monday, February 13 episode of his SiriusXM show, the radio host criticized the Grammy-winning artist for allegedly "lip-syncing 85 percent" at the annual big event.
"You know, I don't even know why she bothered showing up," the 69-year-old said. "I gotta tell you. I love Rihanna's voice. I think it's a wonderful voice."
"And I love how she interprets a song and every song they played there behind her was terrific. There was one point where she was singing toward the end of the performance when she actually was on the stage with the band - she was singing whatever song that was," he continued. "But I would say now, again, I could be wrong, but - in my opinion, 85 percent of that performance was lip sync."
Howard further elaborated, "Well, the big giveaway might be when she puts the microphone down by her knees and her lips aren't moving and the other voices are going." He then added, "I had a theory Rihanna was not lip syncing, but she put the microphone near her vagina so the new baby could sing. The baby was singing backup."
Howard was not the only one who wasn't feeling Rihanna's Super Bowl Halftime Show gig. Donald Trump previously wrote on his Truth Social account, "EPIC FAIL: Rihanna gave, without question, the single worst Halftime Show in Super Bowl history."
The former president also took issue with Rih's political stance. He fumed, "This after insulting far more than half of our Nation, which is already in serious DECLINE, with her foul and insulting language. Also, so much for her 'Stylist!' "
Kodak Black then backed up Trump's statements, saying in an Instagram video, "Man, Uncle Trump said that s**t garbage, man." Though so, the emcee continued to sing along as she performed. He also got excited when he saw Rih's boyfriend A$AP Rocky on camera.
