AceShowbiz - Toni Collette continues to share her true feelings with her fans and followers. The "Hereditary" actress has shared a poem about courage a few days after announcing divorce following the leaked pictures of her now-estranged husband Dave Galafassi kissing a bikini-clad woman at a beach.
On Monday, December 12, the 50-year-old Australian actress made use of her Instagram Story to share a poem titled "Halfway There". The poem begins, "Whatever happens, you are free to go. Free to peel off what's left of this story and choose another. It is not too late. It is definitely worth the trouble."
"Remember the story of the lion lost without his courage," the second part of the poem reads. It continues, "Too scared, full of fury, the great wizard standing in the emerald tower, knowing the lion was already brave."
Toni made the post a few days after releasing a joint statement about her divorce from the 44-year-old drummer on her Instagram feed. In the post, the "Pieces of Her" actress noted that the decision to legally end their 20-year marriage came "after a substantial period of separation."
The former couple also explained that their kids, 14-year-old daughter Sage Florence and 11-year-old son Arlo Robert, are "of paramount importance to us and we will continue to thrive as a family, albeit a different shape."
Following the divorce announcement, it's unveiled that Dave, who refused to talk about his PDA-filled photos at Manly Beach with his new lover, "integrative chiropractor" Shannon Egan, hid out at the now-estranged couple's $3 million home in Birchgrove, Sydney. However, after less than 24 hours of hiding out, the musician was seen out with Shannon. He's spotted without his wedding ring.
A few days before Dave's kissing photos emerged on the Internet, Toni posted a message about "eternal" love, which many fans found ironic. Along with an infamous photo of the Hasanly Lovers, two human skeletons sharing a kiss, the actress wrote, "Love is eternal."
