The actor portraying Mitchell Pritchett on the sitcom 'Modern Family' and her husband welcome their second baby around six months after he confirmed that they will be parents of two.

AceShowbiz - Jesse Tyler Ferguson and his husband Justin Mikita have welcomed a new addition to their family via surrogate. The "Modern Family" alum and his spouse broke the exciting news on Instagram and said they are "overjoyed" by the birth of their second baby.

On Tuesday, November 15, the 47-year-old and his spouse shared a photo that gave a glimpse of his new bundle of joy. The pair followed it up with a picture of the two with the former cradling the infant. They kicked off their caption by writing, "Sad to be away from my @takemeoutbway fam tonight but we ran off to welcome our newest little one, Sullivan Louis Ferguson-Mikita."

"A special thanks to @drshahinghadir for helping us grow our family & our incredible surrogate and all of the nurses and doctors. We are overjoyed to be a family of four," he added. "My incredible understudy @timmytwright will be on tonight and tomorrow and I will be back in the ball game on Thursday 11/17. I know Tim has you all in wonderful hands."

The "Wonderful World" star confirmed that he was expecting his second child with Justin in May. At that time, he shared a video on Instagram and penned in the accompanying message, "@justinmikita and I have some exciting news, we're expecting number 2! Our growing family will be a family of four later this fall! We are so excited for Beckett to have a sibling."

"We are so excited to have a little one joining our growing family - and so proud to support the choice to do it," Jesse added, before giving a shout-out to people who helped him and his partner to expand their family. "A special thanks to @drshahinghadir & @scrcivf who has provided us the possibility to expand our family not once, but twice. We wouldn't be here without you!"

Jesse welcomed Beckett with Justin via surrogate in July 2020. The "Food Between Friends" co-author took to his Instagram account to show his son to the world, while at the same time, celebrating their seventh wedding anniversary. "Two weeks ago I got to see you become a dad," he gushed in the caption, "We are entering a whole new chapter and I couldn't be happier to be doing it with you."
