AceShowbiz - Hip-hop community is mourning the death of Takeoff, who was gunned down on November 1. As fans and friends alike took to social media to pay tribute to the late Migos rapper, Alabama rapper NoCap also shared his thoughts on Takeoff's passing in an Instagram post.

"God gave me the instinct not to pull up last night," NoCap penned on the photo-sharing platform alongside a photo of Takeoff. "Wish he would've gave you the same thing. But everything happens for a reason. Get your rest Thug."

The "Ghetto Angels" rapper's post, however, was met with mixed responses from Internet users. Some people found the condolence insensitive with one saying, "That's the worse condolence u can give.It's like 'sorry it had to u but thank god it wasn't me' please." Another fan commented, "I mean say how you feel but man I'll be damned a ni**a chalk my death up to 'everything happens for a reason.' "

Following the backlash, the 24-year-old decided to remove the post shortly after.

Among those who shared touching messages in the wake of Takeoff's passing were Drake, Ja Rule and Gucci Mane. "I got the best memories of all of us seeing the world together and bringing light to every city we touch. That's what I'll focus on for now rest easy space man Take," Drake captioned a picture of himself and Takeoff onstage.

"This broke my heart Rest In Peace @yrntakeoff," Gucci, who recently collaborated with Takeoff and his uncle and bandmate Quavo on the song "Us vs. Them", wrote alongside a picture of the slain musician.

Ja Rule, meanwhile, took to Twitter to share his condolences. "Rip Takeoff… this shit has to STOP… sending love to friends and family," he wrote. Houston rapper Lecrae penned, "No hot takes. No profound thoughts. Just sad that another rapper, son, brother, and friend has been killed. God be with all those who feel the loss. #TakeOff #MIGOS."

Offset and Cardi B also shared quiet tributes to the 28-year-old following his tragic passing. On Wednesday, November 2, fans noticed that Offset changed his Instagram profile picture to a smiling photo of his late Migos bandmate. In the photo, Offset appeared to add a small white heart in the corner.

Cardi, who's married to Offset, also addressed Takeoff's shocking death on Wednesday by retweeting a throwback interview clip of Migos speaking to Complex. The footage saw Takeoff, Offset and Quavo discussing the best gift they'd ever received with Offset noting that his "best gift from [his] brothers is [his] brothers."

Takeoff was at a private party with Quavo when an altercation broke out on November 1. He was struck by a bullet outside the 810 Billiards and Bowling Houston in Texas, the Houston Police said at a press conference. Quavo, meanwhile, was not injured in the incident.

During the press conference, officers also revealed that at least two firearms were involved in the shooting. They additionally believe the suspects were also guests at a private party at the location.
