AceShowbiz - Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith have been photographed together for the first time since the infamous Oscars slap. In pictures surfacing online, the "Aladdin" actor and his wife put on a united front during an outing in Malibu.
The Hollywood couple, who share Willow Smith and Jaden Smith together, was caught on camera leaving Nobu on Saturday afternoon, August 13. The "King Richard" leading man was seen walking ahead of his spouse, who seemingly grabbed a hold of his shirt or pants. The father of three apparently noticed the paparazzo as he flashed a smile and a peace sign to the spectator.
Both Will and Jada opted to go with casual looks. Will donned a short-sleeved navy blue top with a collar, navy blue pants, white sneakers, and a baseball cap for the outing. Jada, on the other hand, sported a black button-down top with a red, white, and blue plaid shirt tied around her waist, black pants, and black and white sneakers. She accessorized her outfit with sunglasses and hoop earrings.
This marks Will and Jada's first public outing together since he slapped Chris Rock at the 2022 Academy Awards. He attacked the comedian for making fun of his wife's shaven head.
Will has issued his apology to Chris though. In an Instagram video posted on July 29, he said, "I've reached out to Chris and the message that came back is that he's not ready to talk when he is, he will reach out. So I will say to you, Chris, I apologize to you. My behavior was unacceptable and I'm here whenever you're ready to talk."
The 53-year-old also apologized to Chris' mother and entire family. "I just didn't realize how many people got hurt in that moment, so I want to apologize to Chris's mother. I want to apologize," he remarked.
