In a new episode of the long-running game show, a category of 'Chuck D' is featured as it also hosts questions about notable figures including Charles Dickens and Charles Darwin.

AceShowbiz - A contestant in a new episode of "Jeopardy!" received online criticism for getting a question about Public Enemy wrong. While fans appeared to be outraged, Chuck D took to Twitter to defend the contestant.

In the said episode of the long-running game show, a category of "Chuck D" was featured. It hosted questions about notable figures including Charles Dickens, Charles Darwin as well as Public Enemy icon Chuck D.

The hint read, "In the 1980s Chuck D began fighting the power in this Hip-Hop group with Flavor Flav, a man who always knew what time it was." The contestant responded, "The Funky Bunch," which was the name of the crew with Mark Wahlberg a.k.a. "Marky Mark" back in the actor's rapping days.

Following the episode, a Public Enemy fan took to Twitter to slam the woman for her incorrect answer. "This person on #Jeopardy just thought Chuck D was in the funky bunch. She should get credit for being the most wrong she could possibly be. S**t was amazing," the person said, before tagging "Jeopardy!" and Chuck D.

Chuck D caught wind of the tweet and shared his opinion on the matter. Instead of being upset, the musician said, "Everybody don't know everything… it's why I introduce myself wherever I go and whoever I talk to."

He went on to say, "It's just courtesy. But the sad thing is not knowing those other Chuck Ds." Another fan added that if this was a "Jeopardy!" hint about a more recent Pop artist, they wouldn't know that answer, either.
