Nearly five years after his release from prison, the former football running back is being sued over the 1994 deaths of his ex-wife Nicole Brown and her friend Ronald Goldman.

AceShowbiz - O.J. Simpson has been hit with a new lawsuit over his past action. The former football running back is sued for nearly $100 million by Fred Goldman over his son Ronald Goldman's murder in 1994.

TMZ reported that Fred is applying for a renewal of his old judgment against O.J., claiming the former NFL star owes him $96 million over the murder of his son. "In 2015, Fred [Goldman] said with interest, O.J. owed him $57 million," the outlet stated. "But, in the new docs, Fred now says interest has continued to pile up over the last seven years and has now reached nearly $97 million."

Back in 2017, Fred filed court documents that would allocate money O.J. made from anything ranging from interviews to show appearances and presentations to help pay the $70 million wrongful death judgment he owes them.

Ronald and O.J.'s ex-wife Nicole Brown were murdered at Nicole's home in Brentwood, California, on June 12, 1994. O.J. was acquitted of their killings in 1995, before he was found liable for both deaths in a 1997 civil lawsuit. He was also ordered to pay $33,500,000 in damages.

O.J. was later arrested for a Las Vegas robbery in 2007. In 2008, he was found guilty and was sentenced to 33 years in prison. He was released in 2017 after serving for almost nine years. He was released from parole early in 2021 due to good behavior.

Following his release, O.J. has been trying to get back into the spotlight, signing up for Twitter on which he shared his take on popular social issues. He even weighed in on Will Smith's infamous Oscars slap.

"Hey look, it was unfortunate," said O.J. in a Twitter video, "I think Will was wrong." While he "understood the feeling" over Chris Rock's joke about Jada Pinkett Smith's shaved head, he added, "In my life, I've been through a lot of crap and I was raising two young kids, and every comedian in the country had an O.J. routine, and don't think I wouldn't wanna be slapping a couple of those guys."
