AceShowbiz - Britney Spears may be still madly in love with Sam Asghari, but it doesn't make her give up her all. The so-called Princess of Pop reportedly made sure her assets are protected before she married her longtime boyfriend.
Sources close to the newlyweds reveal that the couple has an ironclad prenup in favor of the singer. The prenup ensures that the personal trainer won't get a dollar from Britney's multi-million dollar fortune earned before the wedding date in the event that they split in the future, according to TMZ and as confirmed by PEOPLE.
Britney's worth is estimated at $60 million. She may still make earnings in the days forward, which Sam is likely eligible for a share, but she'll retain her assets from the fortune she made up to this point.
Shortly after the couple's engagement in September 2021, there were reports that they worked on a prenup before their wedding. Sam then responded to the rumors by joking that he was the one who wanted the prenup to protect his jeep and shoe collection.
"Thank you everyone who is concerned about The prenup!" the actor and fitness instructor wrote on his Instagram Story at the time. "Of course we're getting an iron clad prenup to protect my jeep and shoe collection incase (sic) she dumps me one day."
The pair tied the knot on Thursday, June 9 at the backyard of her mansion in Thousand Oaks, California. While her father Jamie Spears, mother Lynne Spears and sister Jamie Lynn Spears were not invited to the wedding, her brother Bryan Spears couldn't attend the nuptials due to another obligation.
As revealed by his girlfriend Amber Lynn Conklin on Monday, June 13. Bryan celebrated his daughter Lexie's graduation on the same day Britney tied the knot with Sam. Bryan shares Lexie with his ex-wife Graciella Sanchez.
"We couldn't help the timings. Bryan felt terrible having to choose but he had to be there for his daughter and sent his love to Britney x1000000," Amber explained in a now-deleted Instagram post. "We are so sad to miss such an important moment but so so happy for Britney and Sam's Marriage."
