AceShowbiz - Returning after two years on pause due to COVID-19 pandemic, the TIME 100 Gala 2022 is finally here. Celebrities went all-out for glamorous turns on the red carpet at the event that celebrated the magazine's 100 Most Influential People of the Year.

Zendaya Coleman successfully turned heads when she walked the red carpet at the special occasion that took place at Jazz at Lincoln Center in New York City on Wednesday, June 8. The "Dune" beauty donned a gown with geometric color-blocked detailing in a turquoise-black palette.

The dress also featured silk and velvet panels. The unique piece was taken from the archives of Bob Mackie from the designer's Fall 1998 collection. Keeping her full look color-coordinated, Zendaya opted for a teal shade on her eyes while keeping her hair slicked back.

Also gracing the red carpet with her stunning look was Amanda Seyfried. The "Mean Girls" star looked glamorous in Carolina Herrera black dress that had ruffle details on the chest and a long train. The actress paired her gown with a pair of black heels.

"Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings" star Simu Liu, in the meantime, looked dapper while walking the red carpet in a blue suit. Also looking impressive on that night was "West Side Story" star Ariana DeBose, who wore a sleeveless turtleneck floral-printed dress with a high slit skirt.

Andrew Garfield also looked dazzling for the star-studded event. "The Amazing Spider-Man" star donned a classic black suit by Gucci over a white shirt. He added a black bowtie to complete his look.

"Thor: Love and Thunder" director Taika Waititi walked the red carpet sporting a crisp white suit. The filmmaker, who won an Oscar for screenwriting his film "JoJo Rabbit", was named among the most influential people of 2022 and was honored by Sacha Baron Cohen who described him as "the best of the bygone era of wild, rock-star Hollywood types, mixed with the brilliance of a top auteur."

As for Mary J. Blige, she turned heads with her unique turquoise sparkly mini dress. That night, the "Family Affair" hitmaker performed her song "Good Morning Gorgeous" off of her latest album of the same name.

Also giving a live performance was Miranda Lambert. For the red carpet, the "If I Was a Cowboy" songstress donned an off-shoulder black dress that featured long sleeves. To complete her outfit, she added a white purse that saw two musical notes forming her initial name.

This year's TIME 100 list saw actors such as Andrew and Zendaya being celebrated for their works and receiving high praises for the same. While Martin Scorsese hailed Andrew's skills by calling him "one of the greats of his generation," "Dune" director Denis Villeneuve referred to Zendaya as a "cultural icon in the making."
