The New York City rapper, who was just 19 when Joey Cartagena was born, pays tribute to his son by sharing a photo of him hugging Joey as he sits in a wheelchair.

AceShowbiz - Fat Joe showed his son more love on World Autism Awareness Day. To celebrate his eldest child Joey Cartagena, the "All The Way Up" rapper took to his social media account to pay a sweet tribute to his eldest child.
On Saturday, April 2, Joe shared on Instagram a photo of himself wearing a blue outfit. He then added another image which saw him hugging his son Joey, who was sitting in a wheelchair. The proud dad began his caption by writing, "World Autism Day. Joey is my heart, my king, my everything. Our kids are our biggest blessings."
"Today i wear Autism blue in honor of our kids and all the families around the world dealing with special needs family members," the hip-hop star added. "God makes no mistakes i pray everyday for everyone and i hope you keep us in your prayers [blue heart emojis] #letsgoduke."
This was not the first time for the 51-year-old to honor his son. When celebrating the latter's birthday on December 15, 2021, the emcee posted a rare picture of him wrapping his arms around Joey, who smiled widely to the camera.
"Life is full of surprises. I was just a kid at 19 years old when i had Joey. It was one of the scariest days of my life. Doctors said he wouldn't be normal and kids like this are hard to deal with," he penned in the caption. "Not once did me and my family think of giving up on Joey."
"He's my jr. it's a lot of work it's a constant sacrifice that parents make to keep their children happy and most of all safe," the New York native added. "I've always kept Joey out of the limelight cause they're bad elements out there i never wanted him exposed to."
Joe went on to rave, "Joey has accomplished above and beyond & i also believe he keeps my parents alive cause they love him sooooooo much." He then noted, "How do you tell someone who's given you so much joy in life thank you???. How do you tell your best friend and most loyal one thank you??"
"I am so proud of Joey he's my heart & soul. I love you Joey, we all love you Joey, thank you for being my Biggest blessing in life!" he continued. "Happy Birthday Joey, God bless you."
