AceShowbiz - Chase Stokes' mystery woman has set the record straight on their relationship. Despite being spotted making out with the "Outer Banks" star at a bar in Orlando, Florida, Val Bragg claimed that she's not dating the actor.
Val addressed the romance rumors by posting a video on TikTok on Thursday, December 30. "I've been getting so many hate comments and DMs and people just calling me a home-wrecker and telling me that I'm the reason why Chase and his ex [Madelyn Cline] broke up, and that's not true whatsoever," she first explained.
"As far as I'm concerned, they're both single. They've been single for, like, over a month or so," Val continued. She then described the situation on Sunday night, saying, "I was just out with my gay best friend actually, and we just went to the longue. Chase was there... one thing led to another and we ended up just making out."
"I guess the lights turned on and somebody recorded us. We were both pretty drunk," she elaborated. "That's basically what it was. It was literally just two drunk people making out."
Val then emphasized that they "are not dating. It was nothing serious like that." She added, "No, it's not like, 'Oh, he moved on' or anything like that. I'm pretty sure he's still going through it, and that's OK because I myself am going through a breakup as well."
The clarification came after TMZ published the said video on Wednesday. In the footage, the 29-year-old heartthrob and the were seen passionately making out against a corner wall of the bar before they left the venue together.
The video emerged after PEOPLE reported in early November that Chase and his "Outer Banks" co-star Madelyn had called it quits. An insider told the publication, "Madelyn and Chase are no longer together... They were trying to work things out privately but broke up a couple of months ago." Another source, meanwhile, claimed, "They are definitely broken up."
