While people still think it's weird for a woman to date a shorter man, these female celebrities are proving that their men's height isn't a key to a happy relationship.

AceShowbiz - Women usually prefer taller partners simply because they feel more protected by them. This, however, isn't the most-follow rule in dating. While some traditionally-minded persons still see this as a conformity, a number of celebrities consider height as just a number, just like others see age gap between a couple.

In Hollywood, female stars are not shy to stand head and shoulders above their partners. These famous men also don't seem to be troubled by looking shorter than their significant others. In fact, they seem proud to be on the arms of these stunning women. Read on to see which famous couples made the list of celebrities who have destroyed the stigma that tall women can't date short men.

1. Zendaya and Tom Holland

Zendaya Coleman and Tom Holland, who made headlines lately about their height difference, are reportedly only two inches different. The "Dune" beauty is reported to be 5'10" tall, while the Spider-Man depicter in Marvel Cinematic Universe is 5'8".

When talking about her first meeting with her co-star and now-boyfriend, Zendaya admitted she was initially "worried" that she would lose the role due to her height. But she was wrong as she later noted, "But, it ended up working out and I think our height difference is one of the cool things about Peter and MJ." Now, she even said that it's "one of the cool things."

In the meantime, Tom pointed out that he doesn't see any problem with their height gap when slamming the "stupid assumption" that men always have to be taller than their partners. Spicing it up, the "Spider-Man: No Way Home" star recently liked a post stating that "short men have more sex."

2. Cameron Diaz and Benji Madden

Cameron Diaz and Benji Madden are also proving that height difference wasn't an issue. The actress portraying Natalie Cook in "Charlie's Angels" is 5'9" while her husband and the lead guitarist for the band Good Charlotte is 5'6" tall.

Amazingly, the couple was set up on a date by Nicole Ritchie in 2014 and hit it off from there. In 2015, Benji proposed to Cameron, and after a 17-day engagement, the pair tied the knot. Three years after getting married, Cameron decided to take a break from acting to focus on her life with Benji and her family.

In 2020, Cameron said that her husband is "the best thing that's ever happened to [her]." She gushed, "I love being married. The best thing that ever happened to me is finding my husband and our partnership and his friendship and all that."

3. Josephine Skriver and Alexander DeLeon

Josephine Skriver and Alexander DeLeon couldn't care less about who's taller. The model, who made her debut as a Victoria's Secret Angel in 2016, is 5'11" tall. In the meantime, her fiance, who is the lead singer for the rock band The Cab, is around 5'7".

Josephine and Alex started dating in 2013. Then in November 2018, they got engaged. The model proudly said, "I SAID HELL-FREAKIN'-YES!!!!" when announcing their relationship milestone via Instagram.

The model shared both photos and details of the dreamy proposal. The couple went to Finland to fulfill Josephine's dreams of seeing the Northern Lights. That same day, Alex released a song written about his beloved titled "Aurora Borealis". After enjoying a bonfire and hot chocolate in the middle of the frozen lake, Alex turned to Josephine and asked her to marry him.

4. Kevin Hart and Eniko Parrish

Standing at a below-average height of 5'2", Kevin Hart is proudly and happily married to Eniko Parrish, a former model who is 5'6" and four inches taller than him. According to observations made by body language expert Karen Donaldson for Women's Health, their body language reflects the playful and intimate nature of their relationship despite the height gap.

As explained by Karen, the way the couple interacts with one another on camera is also evidence of their strong bond, protectiveness and confidence. When observing several photographs of the couple, the body language expert said, "This is a power-couple paparazzi pose."

While pursuing a taller woman might be intimidating for some men, the "Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle" actor had no problem beginning a relationship with Eniko, whom he first met in 2009. By August 2014, the two were engaged. After two years of engagement, the 42-year-old comedian and Eniko tied the knot in front of family and friends in Santa Barbara, California and have welcomed their two children together.

5. Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas

The height difference does not prevent Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas from loving each other to the fullest. The "Game of Thrones" star is 5'9" tall and her heartthrob husband is 5'7", which makes them a mere two inches apart in height.

When they first started dating, many social media users made fun of their height difference. However, it certainly didn't stop the actress and the Jonas Brothers singer from exchanging their vows in a surprise Las Vegas ceremony in May 2019. A year later, they welcomed their first child, a daughter named Willa Jonas. Four months after welcoming their daughter, the couple was reported to try to have another baby.

More recently, when making an appearance on Netflix's new comedy special, "Jonas Brothers Family Roast", Sophie reportedly joked about Joe's height. She also weighed in on his long list of celebrity exes and the purity rings which he and his brothers wore as teenagers to signify their virginity.

6. Tina Fey and Jeff Richmond

Also making the list are Tina Fey and Jeff Richmond. The actress/comedian, best known for her work on the NBC sketch comedy series "Saturday Night Live", is 5'5" tall while her husband is 5'2".

Tina obviously is just three inches taller than Jeff. But when she wears her pumps, Jeff looks just how she likes to describe him, "travel size." Though so, their love is immeasurable. The pair, who first met in 1994, are proving that they are still going strong.

After they started dating, they managed to produce some of the greatest comedy series ever created, from "Second City" and "30 Rock" to "Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt". While they were successful in their careers, the couple also fell for each other and dated for seven years before tying the knot in 2001. Then in 2006, the power couple welcomed their first child, Alice. Five years later, their second daughter Penelope was born.

7. Pharrell Williams and Helen Lasichanh

Pharrell Williams and Helen Lasichanh are not letting anything get in the way of their relationship, including their height difference. The "Happy" hitmaker is 5'9" while his wife is three inches taller than him at 5'11".

This celebrity couple first started out in the friend zone. Pharrell and Helen were good friends for two years before they fell for each other. In a 2017 interview, the 48-year-old rapper said that Helen "stood out." He said of his spouse, "Different, marches to the beat of her own drum -- but it was different than the rest of the girls who were, like, completely made up. She stood out."

The happy couple dated for five years, before deciding to tie the knot. They chose to make their wedding day stand out by wearing some unique outfits for the ceremony. They are still happily married and have welcomed a son, Rocket Ayer Williams, and triplets into the world.

8. Daniel Radcliffe and Erin Darke

Another celebrity couple who found love despite their height gap is Daniel Radcliffe and Erin Darke. The "Harry Potter" star is only 5'5" tall while Erin is 5'7", so she towers over him in heels.

The actor portraying Fairfax in upcoming movie "The Lost City" met Erin in 2012, while working on the film "Kill Your Darlings". The actor, who reportedly got engaged to his longtime partner in 2017, said he considered the scene between their characters as a "sweet record" of their first meeting. "Our characters are meeting and flirting with each other, so there is this kind of sweet record of us just meeting for the first time and flirting," he explained.

Proving that she's fine having a relationship with a shorter man, Erin herself gushed that Daniel "innately understands her." The "Good Girls Revolt" actress said in a 2018 interview, "One of the first things we bonded over was how much we really love what we do and there's something that's really beautiful and really lovely about being with someone who just innately understands that about you." She added, "He's a great reader, by the way. We're both incredibly supportive of the other person's career."

9. Peter Dinklage and Erica Schmidt

Peter Dinklage, best known for playing Tyrion Lannister on "Game of Thrones", and Erica Schmidt also don't see any problem with their height difference. The 4'4" tall actor, who has a form of dwarfism called achondroplasia, is happily married to his wife, who is 5'6" tall.

Back in 2019, Peter said that being "politically" correct" about dwarfism can be "damaging." He also used an example of a child in the street pointing at him, saying, "[If] the parent has him look the other way, what's that kid going to grow up into? Somebody who can't make eye contact with somebody who's four and a half feet tall?" He added, "That's sad, to me. I understand it in the moment, because they don't want to embarrass me."

Though so, Erica seemingly doesn't care about Peter's height. The couple began dating in the early 2000s and got engaged by November 2004. The notoriously private couple then exchanged their vows in Las Vegas back in 2005. In a new interview, Peter admitted that he was "self-saboteur" in relationships before meeting Erica, noting that he "was guilty of always falling for someone where it wasn't reciprocated."

10. Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban

The last celebrity couple on the list that doesn't mind their height difference is Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban. The "Big Little Lies" actress is towering over her husband as she's 5'10", while her spouse is about one until two inches shorter.

Though they seemingly have no problems with their height gap, the pair often show their height-illusion tricks on the red carpet. In several sightings, Keith put on shoes with a heel, or high sole, to gain at least a little elevation to be closer to his wife's measurements. They also often posed with their heads close together, with "The Undoing" actress leaning into him with an arched back as a way to deflect from the height gap.

Proving that their love is still going strong, Nicole gave a sweet insight into her 15-year marriage during an appearance on "Live with Kelly and Ryan" earlier this month. Speaking about her "favorite person," she said, "When I was pregnant with Sunday, he got on a plane to fly to Australia to see the first ultrasound and was there for 6 hours, saw the heartbeat, and then had to fly back [to LA] to do a show," prompting host Ryan Seacrest to dub the gesture "romantic and lovely."
