AceShowbiz - Caitlyn Jenner's lunch on Monday, December 13 was all ruined. The Olympian took to her Instagram account to put a Beverly Hills restaurant on blast after she was denied service because of her choice of clothing.
Calling out the Polo Lounge, one of the Beverly Hills Hotel's many eateries, Caitlyn revealed that she was turned down for wearing ripped jeans. "@bevhillshotel f**k your horrible service for not letting me have lunch with this tiny rip in my jeans," so she wrote over a photo of the pair of jeans she was wearing.
"Shame on you. Disgusting. I have been a patron for decades. No longer," the former husband of Kris Jenner added, before tagging the hotel's parent company The Dorchester Collection.
TMZ reported that the "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" alum was caught off guard after being called out for wearing ripped denim. The star, who came in full hair and makeup, apparently also broke another rule in the hotel. She stopped to take photos with fans despite the restaurant's "no photos" policy.
In response to Caitlyn's complaint, a rep for The Polo Lounge released a statement to the news outlet. "Please see our dress code policy which is stated on our website and provided to every guest when they make a reservation with us," the statement read.
On its website, The Polo Lounge in the hotel has a stict dress code. "At the Polo Lounge, we encourage you to dress for the occasion, so we ask that you refrain from wearing casual hats, ripped denim, crop tops, nightwear, swimwear and men's sleeveless shirts," read the explanation on the website. "After 4pm, we do not permit shorts, flip-flops (including Birkenstocks) or sportswear (including tracksuits). Children under 10 are exempt."
Caitlyn, meanwhile, didn't think the dress code was mandatory. In a follow-up post on Instagram Stories, she shared a screenshot of the restaurant's website and circled the word "encourage."
