The 'Cold Heart' singer dominates the all-genre albums countdown in his home country after releasing his latest studio installment 'The Lockdown Sessions'.

AceShowbiz - Sir Elton John has returned to the top of the U.K. charts with the album he recorded during the pandemic.

"The Lockdown Sessions", the veteran rocker's eighth U.K. number one album, was recorded when his farewell tour was postponed by the COVID crisis, and features collaborations with Stevie Nicks, Gorillaz, and Lil Nas X.

The album's first single, the "Cold Heart (Pnau Remix)" collaboration with Dua Lipa, put Elton into the record books two weeks ago, when it hit number one in the U.K., making the "Rocket Man" star the first artist to top the singles chart in six separate decades.

Now, "The Lockdown Sessions" has beaten new albums by Lana Del Rey, Duran Duran, and Biffy Clyro to the top spot.

Del Rey debuts "Blue Banisters" at two while Duran Duran's "Future Past" bows at three and Biffy Clyro's "The Myth of Happily Ever After" is at four while Coldplay's "Music of the Spheres" drops from one to five on the new countdown.

In the singles chart, Adele is still the queen for a second week with "Easy On Me" while Elton and Dua Lipa's "Cold Heart" takes the second spot and Ed Sheeran's "Shivers" rounds out the top three.

Before Elton John's "Cold Heart" ruled the chart, Ed Sheeran urged fans to download the song as he said, "Who doesn't wanna be knocked off by Elton anyway."

The Rocketman considered the "Lego House" singer his "eldest son in a way."

"We play each other music and we cheer each other up when we're down in the dumps and it's a lovely thing. A friendship that's blossomed so beautifully."

Now the two close pals are gearing up for their Christmas collaboration
