The 'Thinking Out Loud' hitmaker is convinced his countryside house in Suffolk is haunted and he always make sure his guests stay away from the 'freaky' room.

AceShowbiz - Ed Sheeran often gets the shivers when he's home alone because his place in Suffolk, England is haunted.

The hitmaker feels certain people died in one of the rooms of the country estate he shares with wife Cherry and their 14-month-old daughter, Lyra, and he's careful to steer guests away from that part of the house.

"I have a house on my property that's haunted," he tells the BISS Breakfast show. "There's a room at the top, where there is like a trapdoor in it, so people would go up there, die in the bed and then... not like every day.. It's from, like, the 1400s and it's definitely haunted. Definitely."

"If people know about it they don't sleep in... It's just the one room. One room at the top. The rest of the house is fine but it's the one room at the top. It's quite freaky."

Ed will give an exclusive performance of his new song "Overpass Graffiti" at the virtual KISS Haunted House Party on Sunday (31Oct21).

Ed Sheeran is not the only celebrity with haunted house - Kerry Katona also has her fair share of spooky experience at her own home.

The former Atomic Kitten member claimed her family were haunted by a ghost named John, who wanted them out of his house.

According to the pop singer-turned-TV personality, the home she shared with late husband George Kay, who died of a drug overdose in 2019, was haunted by a malevolent spirit, who wanted to take her now 13-year-old son, Max.

"We had a paranormal activity team in the house," she told new! magazine. "It was about six years ago. They told us there was a man in the house, called John, and he wanted us to leave - and he wanted my son Max. It was when George was still alive and they also told us that John gave George Bell's Palsy."

But that wasn't Kerry's first supernatural experience - she has always had a link to the unexplained.

"I've had this all my life - the lights in the house constantly turn on and off," she added. "It happened in my old house and it's been happening here, too. My bedroom is like a bloody disco!"
