The 'Trap Queen' hitmaker has been taken into custody by FBI agents ahead of his Rolling Loud performance over his alleged role in a bi-coastal opioid drug ring.

AceShowbiz - Rapper Fetty Wap is facing charges for his alleged role in a bi-coastal opioid drug ring, based in Long Island, New York.

The "Trap Queen" star was arrested on federal drugs charges by FBI agents late on Thursday afternoon (28Oct21) on a two-count federal indictment at the Citi Field stadium in Queens, New York, ahead of his performance at the Rolling Loud New York Festival.

Wap, real name Willie Maxwell, is expected to appear in federal court on Friday.

Prosecutors claim Maxwell, along with five others, trafficked more than 100 kilograms of opioids, including fentanyl, from the west coast and sold the deadly drugs in New Jersey and Long Island, according to the New York Post.

One of his alleged associates, Anthony Cyntje, is a New Jersey corrections officer.

The New Jersey rapper was last arrested in September 2019 after allegedly punching a Las Vegas parking valet. He has had an incredibly difficult few months following the death of his four-year-old daughter, Lauren.

Lauren's death came less than a year after Fetty Wap mourned the loss of his brother Twyshon Depew who was gunned down in New Jersey.

"I love you lil bro my twin ... R.I.P. I failed you bro I'm sorry ... I keep calling ya phone and you won't pick tf up and that s**t never ring 3 times now it's straight to vm I love you lil bro I really thought I could get you out before I ever had to make a post like this lil bro like wtf," the star grieved.
