The former UFC and WWE champion, who just welcomed her first child in September, wants to normalize breastfeeding as she believes that it 'shouldn't be hidden.'

AceShowbiz - Ronda Rousey is using her platform to help fellow moms who struggle with shame or being shamed for breastfeeding in public. Celebrating mother's "primal" instinct, the mother of one has shared an intimate picture of her feeding her newborn daughter La'akea, whom she affectionately calls Po.

On Sunday, October 17, the former UFC and WWE champion made use of her Instagram account to give a candid look at her life as a mom. In the caption, she explained how she came to realize that it is generally still considered as a taboo to breastfeed in public.

"Our boys asked me the other day how I'm gunna feed Po on the plane when we take her with us to Hawaii. And I was like 'uhhh, same way I always do,' " she shared. "Then it occurred to me that they probably never seen anyone breastfeed before and weren't sure if it was appropriate in public."

Urging fellow mothers to celebrate it, the 34-year-old continued, "Motherhood's some bada**, primal, beautiful s**t that shouldn't be hidden." She went on gushing about being a mom, "It still blows my mind that my body assembled this little person, pushed her out and now makes everything she needs to thrive It's really nothing to be ashamed of, it's something to brag about." She added the hashtags "#normalizebreastfeeding" and "#proudmama."

Ronda gave birth to her daughter, her first child together with her husband Travis Browne, on September 27. Earlier this month, the "Furious 7" star showed her postpartum body. "10 days postpartum," she captioned the snap, before sharing a message about accepting the change.

"My body seems to be recovering faster than I hoped, but I won't really know if Po tossed a grenade on the way out till my 6 week checkup. Since breaking both my hands and getting pregnant it feels like I lost a lifetime of muscle - it's easy to get discouraged over all that lost progress," she divulged.

"But if anything I'm looking forward to getting cleared to train again even more," she wrote. "This is an opportunity start over and mold my body into its next phase #BaddestMomOnThePlanet #ThisIsntEvenMyFinalForm (and yes that is a maternity bra and I did crop out the ice pack in my underwear)."
