AceShowbiz - Olivia Jade has reacted to speculations that she has an affair with her "Dancing with the Stars" pro-dancer partner Valentin Chmerkovskiy, who is married to fellow dancer Jenna Johnson. The YouTube star took to TikTok over the weekend to set the record straight.
"Hey guys, I just wanna clear the air before this goes any further or this video blows up anymore," Olivia said on Sunday, October 17 on TikTok. Referring to a TikToker who first spread the hookup rumors, the daughter of Lori Loughlin said, "First of all, the woman that posted it blocked me. Someone had to send me this video."
She went on to say, "I'm just going to be super blunt and straight up, and just say that Val and I are not hooking up. We've never hooked up. This is a complete rumor. We are genuinely good friends and I adore his wife." The beauty influencer added, "It's literally just a dance show and we're just friends."
"I don't know why everything has to be something, but I've already obviously seen a ton of negative comments," she continued in the video. "And I'd get it if it was true, but it's not so let's end this here and let's f**king dance and have fun on this show. And not create lies especially when you also have almost 400k followers. It's not cool."
Fans quickly showed support for Olivia as one wrote, "Love that you addressed this so quickly, hate that you had to." Another person commented, "Val's a professional and close & like this with ALL his past dance partners…most duos that go far on DWTS have chemistry and enjoy being friends."
The original TikTok video, which has since been deleted, saw a woman recounting a story which was sent to her by an anonymous account. "October '21: Me working on set of Dancing with the stars. One of the male dancers requesting for his wife not to come near his trailer. Me noticing that dancer and his wife are never seen on set together at all this season. One day me walking past his trailer and hearing...," the user wrote on the video. "Dancer and young female dancer partner/contestant giggling."
It didn't mention any names but people quickly speculate that it was about Olivia and Val as Val's wife Jenna is also competing in current season 30 of "Dancing with the Stars" as JoJo Siwa's partner.
