AceShowbiz - Alex Rodriguez has shown off the results of his weight loss. Having got rid of his "Dad-bod", the retired MLB athlete took to social media to share a shirtless picture of himself as he flashed a big smile.

The 45-year-old posted the snap in question on Instagram on Sunday, June 27. The image saw him soaking up the sun on a yellow floaty in the ocean while wearing black swim trunks and sunglasses. He captioned it, "I've fallen, and I can't get up! And I'm good with that. #perfectweather."

A-Rod's post has since been flooded with thirsty comments from his fans. One in particular raved, "Looking like a snack Mr Rodriguez." Another added, "Would love to join you." A third chimed in, "Whew. Hot hot hot. I'll come to ur rescue."

The picture came a few months after the former Baseball shortstop debuted his body transformation. Making use of Instagram, he let out a before-and-after photo of himself in December 2020 and April 2021.

"Left the Dad-bod in 2020," the father of two penned in the accompanying message. "Anyone else determined to stick with their fitness goals this year? I've been consistent with my workouts and finally put down the chips. What food is your weakness?"

Nearly two weeks before sharing the picture, A-Rod and Jennifer Lopez confirmed the end of their engagement. "We have realized we are better as friends and look forward to remaining so... We will continue to work together and support each other on our shared businesses and projects. We wish the best for each other and each other's children," they told "Today" show.

While J.Lo has moved on with her ex-fiance Ben Affleck, Alex reportedly wants to stay single for a while after their split. "[A-Rod] isn't interested in dating anybody seriously right now or getting into a committed relationship," a source told HollywoodLife.com.

"He's still moving forward from the breakup and adjusting to the single life again. He truly thought he had it all planned out and was going to spend the rest of his life with Jen," the source added. "He's made it a point to focus on his family including his two beautiful girls."
