'The Amazing Spider-Man' actress breaks her silence on reports which said that she would reprise her role as Gwen Stacy for the third Tom Holland-starring Spider-Man movie if her 'pregnancy permitting.'

AceShowbiz - Emma Stone denied her active presence in the currently ongoing Spider-Man film franchise. Having been part of "The Amazing Spider-Man" which ended after two installments, the actress dubbed herself "alumnus" in response to rumors linking her to "Spider-Man: No Way Home".

The "La La Land" star finally broke her silence on the long-running speculation during an interview with MTV News. Debunking the reports which said she would be reprising her role as Gwen Stacy in the upcoming movie, she said, "I'm not [involved.]"

"I have heard those rumors," the 32-year-old Oscar-winning actress responded to the rumors. "I don't know if I'm supposed to say anything, but I'm not [involved]." Mouthing the words "I'm not," she added, "I don't know what you're supposed to respond as an alumnus (laughs)."

There has been long speculation that actors from previous Spider-Man film franchises, such as Tobey Maguire, Kirsten Dunst, Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone, are going to return for the third Tom Holland-starring Spidey movie. While Dunst was said to return as MJ with Maguire and Garfield reprising their roles of Spider-Man, Stone's involvement was said to be under condition if her "pregnancy permitting."

Previously, Stone's former co-star and boyfriend Garfield has addressed the rumors. Insisting that he never "got a call," he said earlier in May, "Do you ever play the game 'Werewolf'? Or 'Mafia'? You know that game, and I think it's something similar, where you convincing everyone that you're not in the Mafia? Like I feel like I'm in a game of f**king 'Werewolf' or 'Mafia' where I'm not the Werewolf. I promise you I'm not the Werewolf, and everyone's like, 'You're the werewolf! You're the f**king werewolf, look at him he's doing the thing!' "

Reiterating that he "did not get a call," he stressed, "Listen, I would've gotten a call by now, that's what I'm saying. Like, I don't want to rule anything out. Maybe they want to call me. Maybe they're going to call me and say like, 'Hey, people want this.' Maybe they're doing market research."
