AceShowbiz - Shameik Moore apparently blamed police brutality against black people on the lack of awareness of how to deal with police. Tweeting on May 28, the "Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse" star wrote, "See I have a very strong opinion that the black community hates to hear.. but needs to hear... we need to learn how to deal with police... and or racism... because THIS is the part of the scenario we have failed to fix."
It didn't take long before people came after him for the tone-deaf comments, prompting the actor to acknowledge his mistake. He apologized during an Instagram livestream, saying his comments "were taken out of context." He went on saying, "Again, I'll just say for the people watching, 'I did not mean to offend any of the Black community.' It was wrong timing."
