AceShowbiz - Former child star Mary-Kate Olsen has successfully filed divorce papers to officially end her five-year marriage to Olivier Sarkozy.
The actress-turned-fashion mogul first attempted to file the legal documents in a New York court last month, but was informed such cases were not being accepted at the time as a result of limited resources during the coronavirus pandemic.
She subsequently sought an emergency order to prevent the French banker from allegedly forcing her out of their rented Manhattan apartment, but that was denied, too.
On Monday, May 25, as city courts began to reopen again, Olsen was finally able to begin divorce proceedings electronically, reports the New York Post.
The famously-private star, 33, has yet to comment on her shock split from 50-year-old Sarkozy, which only emerged in mid-May.
The estranged couple wed in 2015.
