AceShowbiz - Anderson Cooper might not be raising his son as a single father. Just one day after he broke the news that he has welcomed his first child, the "Anderson Cooper 360°" anchor was revealed to have reconciled with his ex-boyfriend, Benjamin Maisani.

While Anderson did not give any indication of his relationship status in his baby announcement, an insider informed Us Weekly, "They very quietly got back together and are planning ahead." The so-called source added, "Ben is selling one of his clubs and cutting back on how much he does at night so he can spend more time at home with Anderson and the baby."

Anderson surprised many on Thursday, April 30 when he shared the news that he has become a proud father to a baby boy. Introducing his 3-day-old infant through a series of Instagram photos, he dished that he named his son Wyatt Morgan, and gushed that his bundle of joy is "sweet, and soft, and healthy."

On the moniker he chose for his son, the 52-year-old journalist explained that he got inspired by his late parents, Wyatt Emory Cooper and Gloria Vanderbilt. "He is named after my father, who died when I was ten. I hope I can be as good a dad as he was. My son's middle name is Morgan. It's a family name on my mom's side," he detailed.

As for Anderson's relationship with Benjamin, the two parted ways in 2018 after nine years together. "Benjamin and I separated as boyfriends some time ago. We are still family to each other, and love each other very much," Anderson said at the time. "We remain the best of friends, and will continue to share much of our lives together."

Although Anderson did not offer any reason behind his split from Ben, it was speculated that a doctor named Victor Lopez might have come between them. In March 2018, Daily Mail reported that the CNN anchor has traveled at least five times since December 20, 2017 to Dallas to see Victor. Social media post additionally revealed that he attended Victor's 33rd birthday party.
