AceShowbiz - Auli'i Cravalho has a unique way to share with the world about her sexual orientation. On Thursday, April 9, the young actress best known for voicing the titular character in Disney's "Moana" came out as bisexual, making use of a TikTok video with Eminem's "Those Kinda Nights".
In the short clip, the 19-year-old teased her interest in both genders by lipsyncing to a portion of the "Godzilla" hitmaker's song from "Music to Be Murdered By" which also featured Ed Sheeran. "Seriously though, jokes aside, how you doin'? You straight?/ She said: 'No, I'm bi'," she mouthed. "She said: 'Are you drunk?' I said: 'No, I'm high'/ I'm checkin' out the chick, she said: 'So am I.' "
The teen star, who made her television debut on NBC's "Rise" as Lilette Suarez, later reinforced her revelation on Twitter. When a fan asked her, "hey queen ur doing great in importance of being earnest. do u like girls?" she candidly replied, "if i may escort you to my tiktok..."
Many have since rejoicing over Cravalho's confession. In response to Cravalho's "escort" tweet, "West Side Story" actress Rachel Zegler replied, "oh absoLUTELY." It prompted Cravalho to write back, "I LOVE YOU." A fan, in the meantime, gushed, "Wait you're telling me the one female voice actor I've ever had a crush on is in the LGBT community?!" Another exclaimed, "YAS BI PRIDE STAND UP."
In another news, Cravalho has taken part in an effort to raise money for arts students from low income backgrounds in West Chicago whose schools have been closed because of the coronavirus pandemic. Joining MC Brando Crawford, she performed a live play reading of Oscar Wilde's "The Importance of Being Earnest" on the Facebook page of Acting For a Cause.
Joining Cravalho for the good cause were the likes of "Pokemon Detective Pikachu" star Justice Smith, "Hereditary" star Alex Wolff, "Ozark" actress Jessica Frances Dukes and "Assassination Nation" star Odessa Young among others.
