The '30 Rock' actor files a lawsuit against a New Yorker who got into an altercation with the star back in 2018, claiming the man lied and extorted him.

AceShowbiz - Alec Baldwin is suing the man who alleged the star punched him during a parking space dispute for defamation.

According to the lawsuit obtained by TMZ , the "Beetlejuice" star claims Wojciech Cieszkowski lied about the 2018 incident and insists he never laid hands on the man.

The papers explain: "When two New Yorkers get into an argument over a parking space, typically what happens is they exchange a few sharp words and then move on with their lives. But that is not what happened here."

"Cieszkowski has instead made up a false story about the encounter and refused to move on unless Baldwin succumbs to his extortionate demands."

The incident occurred when Cieszkowski pulled into a parking spot too quickly and came too close to the "Saturday Night Live" star's wife Hilaria and one of their children who were waiting on the curb.

While Baldwin confessed he "lightly" pushed the driver during the dispute, he insists the man then lied to cops, claiming he was badly assaulted. The actor is citing hospital records and video surveillance footage to back up his version of events.

Baldwin cut a deal with prosecutors earlier this year and was only charged with harassment in the second-degree, and sentenced to a number of anger management classes.
