The 'Timber' hitmaker is reportedly among the top contenders eyed by the National Football League to appear alongside the 'Dance Again' singer and the 'Give It Up' crooner at the coveted event.

AceShowbiz - Rapper Pitbull is reportedly a top contender to appear alongside Jennifer Lopez and Shakira at the 2020 Super Bowl Halftime Show.

The "Jenny from the Block" singer confirmed she will be performing with Shakira at the sporting spectacular in February 2020 and, according to TMZ, National Football League (NFL) bosses are eyeing up a number of guest stars to appear alongside them.

Sources told the publication representatives for the star - who appeared on Jennifer's hits "On The Floor", "Dance Again" and "Live It Up", and teamed up with Shakira on "Give It Up" - is in talks to appear alongside her at the event.

Officials at Hard Rock Cafe International are apparently keen to book the Miami-born star, real name Armando Christian Perez, for the gig, which is set to take place at the Hard Rock Stadium in his native Florida.

Insiders from Jay-Z's Roc Nation - which is producing the Halftime Show in conjunction with the NFL - added that "other surprise acts" will definitely appear alongside the headlining acts.
