The 'Peaky Blinders' actor announced back in August that he and his 'Guardians of the Galaxy' actress wife had come to a decision to legally separate after six years of marriage.

AceShowbiz - Sam Claflin has turned to TV to help him get over his split from "Guardians of the Galaxy" star Laura Haddock.

"The Hunger Games" star shares son, Pip, three, and daughter Margot, 20 months, with Laura, but the British actors announced they were separating last month (August 2019).

And when Sam was asked about his viewing habits in an interview with Britain's Radio Times magazine, the star hinted he's using TV to distract himself from his heartache.

"I love the characters and the world that I'm not that familiar with," he said of his favourite dramas. "I enjoy anything that distracts me from my own life at the moment, and gives me an insight into how the other half live."

Announcing he and his wife were separating, Sam wrote on Instagram, "Laura and I have decided to legally separate. We will move forward with nothing but love, friendship and a deep respect for one another whilst we continue to raise our family together."

"We won't be commenting on this further. Thank you in advance for your support and respecting our privacy at this time."

The 33-year-old is currently starring in hit BBC crime drama "Peaky Blinders", playing British fascist leader Oswald Mosley.
