AceShowbiz - Jessica Simpson shared a cute moment of her and daughter Birdie Mae with her Instagram followers, only to be called out for allegedly showing more than intended. The 39-year-old singer and actress, however, didn't back down easily and came back with a hilarious response.
The said photo was posted on Tuesday, September 3, showing Jessica sitting on a bed and holding her 6-month-old daughter against her chest as she smiles to the camera. "My little labor of love this year," she wrote underneath the image. While a lot of her devotees were raving over how adorable the mother-daughter duo were, one person assumed that Jessica exposed her nipples in the image.
The said user simply commented, "#nipslip." The message didn't go unnoticed by "The Dukes of Hazzard" star, who hilariously clapped back, "I think it's flattering that you think my nipple is that high up." People loved her clapback, with one writing, "Haha!! Yes mama I'm with you on the nipple .. that is a total compliment it would be for me too!!" Meanwhile, one other pointed out, "It's not a nipple but... part of the surrounding neighborhood."
Jessica gave birth to Birdie, her youngest child with husband Eric Johnson, on March 19. The couple also shares a daughter Maxwell, 7, and a son Ace, 6.
Recently, the blonde beauty received the wrath of mom-shamers after she posted on Instagram a photo of Birdie sitting in her car seat. Many found fault in the way the little girl was buckled in as one wrote in the comment section, "That hard buckle should be on her sternum instead of her belly to be optimally effective and not cause more harm if a car accident would happen (God forbid!)"
Instead of hitting back at the critics, Jessica decided to disable her Instagram comments.
