AceShowbiz - The satirical comedy Long Haired Businessmen will be available to buy or rent on Digital on November 17 from Republic Pictures and Funny Or Die. The film marks the feature directorial debut of Scott Gairdner.
The ensemble cast includes George Kareman, Patrick O'Brien, Ben Wietmarschen, Rhys Darby, Edi Patterson, Marlene Forte, James Saito, Judy Reyes and Dean Norris. The screenplay was written by Kareman, O'Brien and Wietmarschen.
The film is produced by Mike Farah, p.g.a., Joe Farrell, p.g.a., and Whitney Hodack, p.g.a. It carries a PG-13 rating in the U.S. for some strong language and crude suggestive material, and a PG rating in Canada. The run time is 82 minutes.
The synopsis reads: Kevin, Kyle, and Seth are long-haired, buzzword-fluent middle managers with a passion for staying looped in and on the same page. When the ruthless Torrence Group acquires their company and sics Gen-Z efficiency experts on them, the trio must survive team-building gone haywire, a scheme to replace them with AI, and a corporate conspiracy to eliminate middle management entirely - armed with nothing but jargon, synergy, and one sacred truth: the weekend's never long enough.
Gairdner recently directed Conan O'Brien's cold opens and pre-taped segments for the 2025 and 2026 Academy Awards, as well as Nikki Glaser's pre-taped material for the 2026 Golden Globes. In animation, he created Comedy Central's Moonbeam City and executive produced Kyle Mooney's Saturday Morning All Star Hits! for Netflix. His additional credits include Conan on TBS, John Mulaney Presents: Everybody's in LA and Cuplicated for Vioobu.
The official trailer for Long Haired Businessmen has been released, and the film's social media accounts have shared a post promoting the digital launch.
